More Would Have Watched ‘Oscar and Felix!’

In just the last few years, the Oscars TV presentation show has tanked in terms of viewers.

From Breitbart:

“Here’s a look at the last decade:

  • 2013: 40.3 million
  • 2014: 43.7 million
  • 2015: 37.3 million
  • 2016: 34.4 million
  • 2017: 32.9 million
  • 2018: 26.5 million
  • 2019: 29.6 million
  • 2020: 23.6 million
  • 2021: 10.4 million (virus year)
  • 2022: 16.6 million
  • 2023: 16 million

Last year 16.6 million tuned in, and that was a catastrophe—when that was the second-lowest viewership in Oscar telecast history?

Earlier this week Jimmy Kimmel once again proved to be ratings poison, with Sunday night’s Oscar telecast drawing a pathetic 16 million (give or take) viewers.”

Breitbart seemed to think that the Oscars tanked because of Jimmy Kimmel – “a is a smug little N-word-spewing-blackface-wearing  guy who is loathed by 95 percent of America.”

Personally, I was not even aware that the Oscars was going to be on TV, but even if I knew, I would not have watched it. … “no me importa”

I had seen only a few of the supposed top movies (Elvis, Top Gun: Maverick).  Actually, the movie I liked the best was “A Man Called Otto” with Tom Hanks. Interesting, the movie that walked away with a lot of the awards, I had no interest in putting down my ten bucks to watch. Am I out of touch with whomever votes for the Oscar winners? Obviously! And perhaps that is part of the Oscar’s abysmal TV viewership … woke Hollywood and increasingly, non-woke mainstream Americans are like oil & water.

Obviously from the ratings, very few want to watch Jimmy Kimmel, and even fewer want to spend their time watching Hollywood leftists spew their political venom on the Oscar’s TV show.

Non-Scientific and Heartless !

If you are an enthusiastic “global warming” liberal, perhaps you should not read a recent paper, “Challenging Net Zero with Science,” by Lindzen, Happer, and the CO2 Coalition.

Who are they, and what are they saying?

The paper’s authors are Dr. William Happer, Professor of Physics, Emeritus, Princeton University; Dr. Richard Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science Emeritus, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Gregory Wrightstone, a geologist and executive director of the CO2 Coalition.

Certainly an impressive set of credentials.

A lot of the following is from whatsupwiththat:

This paper is basically saying that not only are the NetZero initiatives of governments and private organizations scientifically invalid, but also that they will lead to worldwide impoverishment and starvation if implemented.

The 46 page paper details how the objectives of Net Zero to eliminate the use of fossil fuels and the emissions of greenhouse gases are based on analytical methods that violate fundamental tenets of the scientific method which originated more than 300 years ago.

“Reliable scientific knowledge is determined by the scientific method, where theoretical predictions are validated by observations or rejected by failing to do so,” say the paper’s authors.

“Agreement with observations is the measure of scientific truth,” continues the paper. “Scientific progress proceeds by the interplay of theory and observation. Theory explains observations and makes predictions of what will be observed in the future. Observations anchor understanding and weed out theories that don’t work.”

Why should liberals not read this paper? In general, liberals process their thoughts in their midbrains. Since the midbrain is the source of emotional as opposed to logical thinking, it follows that they would pay little heed to the scientific method.

However, the paper also predicts global starvation if fossil fuels are eliminated. At risk in coming decades would be half of the world’s 8.5 billion to 10 billion people who are fed by crops grown with fertilizers derived from fossil fuels. Listed as an example of Net Zero’s potential consequences is the economic and social calamity of Sri Lanka which had banned the use of fertilizers and pesticides made from fossil fuels.

“The recent experience in Sri Lanka provides a red alert. The world has just witnessed the collapse of the once bountiful agricultural sector of Sri Lanka as a result of government restrictions on mineral fertilizer,” the paper says.

Starving over four million people, however, might just get a liberal’s attention. Who wants to be responsible for such a horrific tragedy? If you are all in NetZero, odds are you will be part of the responsible party. I am guessing that posturing for, and fighting for/against global warming, etc. will not really matter much to those who are starving or to their families.

Those On the Battlefield

How many times have you noted that the assessment of the uppity-ups is not the same as that of those in the trenches? In situations like this, who should be believed?

For instance, if the soldiers on the battlefield say that they are sustaining heavy losses, but those sitting far away in their fancy offices say that things are going great, who would you believe? … Yes, me too!

On February 27-28, the medical freedom organization MS Against Mandates (MAM) held the Mississippi Medical Freedom Conference in Jackson, Mississippi, which included over a dozen physicians, several whistleblowers, six physician-confirmed vaccine-injured patients, and two parents whose sons died after receiving the vaccines.

During Covid, Dr. Fauci was the one telling us all what was happening and what to do from his fancy office … even though he probably had not taken care of a live patient in many, many years.

I am not going to repeat what the eminent Dr. Fauci  had to say, but rather note what some of those in the actual Covid battlefield had to say.

The following are quotes from this conference via the Epoch Times:

“The community standard of care always comes from the doctors who are treating the patients,” McCullough said. “Under no circumstances does it come from federal or state agencies, pharmaceutical companies, or even from hospitals or hospital systems. It comes from the doctors in the field who are learning how to treat their patients based on the medical literature, clinical judgment, and the differences in the community.”

Janci Lindsay, a Texas-based molecular biologist and biochemist, addressed the room after McCullough, stating that she’s seen an increase in immune system impairment, as well as an explosion in autoimmunity, a decrease in fertility, and an increase in stillbirth and miscarriage.

“Birth rates are plummeting and reports of miscarriages and stillbirths are increasing worldwide among those who have received these gene therapies” (Covid vaccines), Lindsay said.

Dr. James Thorp, a Florida-based OB-GYN who specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, supported Lindsay’s findings on the dangers of the vaccine on pregnant women, stating that what he’s found is “nothing short of catastrophic.”

“It’s extremely dangerous to pregnancy,” he said.

The FDA and CDC consider a twofold increase in adverse events to be a danger, Thorp said.

“So, we compared the COVID-19 vaccines over 18 months to the influenza vaccines over 282 months,” he said.

Thorp said menstrual abnormalities are 1,200 times higher, miscarriages are 57 times higher, and fetal deaths are 38 times higher, along with increases in 15 other serious pregnancy complications.

“This is not Jim Thorp data,” he said. “This is your data from your government, from the CDC and the FDA, and they’re still pushing this vaccine.”

Dr. Robert Corkern said that in November 2020, he began treating COVID-19 patients who had comorbidities in what he called the underserved region of the Delta in Greenville, Mississippi. He used early treatment protocols, including ivermectin, that led to a rate of zero mortality and ICU admission for his patients.

“Today, I’ve treated over 10,000 COVID patients,” Corkern said. “Still, no ICU admissions or deaths.”

Corkern reported that in his clinical observation, natural immunity has given more effective protection against COVID-19 than the vaccines, adding that natural immunity itself is “free of adverse events.”

Dr. David Calderwood, a physician based in Huntsville, Alabama, said he’s successfully treated over 500 patients using a multidrug therapy that includes hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, and he said he’s only lost one patient.

What he said he’s found in his clinical observations of the COVID-19 vaccines is that they’re exactly the opposite of what’s been advertised.

“These vaccines are the most unsafe and ineffective vaccines that have ever come to market,” Calderwood said. “Almost three times as many deaths and permanent disabilities have been reported through the VAERS system than from all other vaccines in history.”

It seems to me that what these physicians are saying is very similar to what Lt Colonel Theresa Long has been saying is going on in the military.

Even though one might say that all of what these physicians are saying is just anecdotal … as enough anecdotes pile up, they gain increasing credibility.

Me? I believe those who are on the battlefield.

Kayzen Hunter

On Sundays I write about someone who has done something praiseworthy … someone we can all admire. Today that someone is eight year old Kayzen Hunter.

Kayzen Hunter has a ritual of going to the Waffle House in Little Rock, Arkansas, with his family for breakfast, and on those trips, he became a friend to waiter Devonte Gardner.

IMG_4136.png

From BlazeNews:

Kayzen’s mom, Vittoria Hunter, said that her son and Gardner have been friends for over a year.

“It was about a year ago when they met. My dad started going and Kayzen would go with him. When he came home, he talked about Devonte and how much he liked him,” she said.

Likewise Gardner has memorized Kayzen’s favorite meal.

“Every time he comes in, I always give him a high five because that’s what he expects,” Gardner said.

“He’s a wonderful kid. He tells me jokes every time he comes in, like, ‘Hey, Devonte, I got a joke for you,’ and the next thing you know, we’re laughing,” he explained.

One day, Kayzen found out that his friend and his family were living in a motel because of horrible conditions at his previous apartment, and he didn’t have a car to get to work.

So Kayzen jumped into action. Originally, the GoFundMe campaign he started had the goal of raising $500 to purchase a car for Gardner.

“Devonte is one of the most joyous and positive people you’ve ever met!! He always greets us with the biggest smile,” Kayzen wrote in the campaign description. “I hope your heart is as BIG as mine and you will help me spread kindness in the world. Any amount helps!!”

After the campaign raised tens of thousands of dollars for Gardner, he says he has signed a lease for a two-bedroom apartment for himself and his daughters. He says he’s looking to buy a sedan but will save the rest of the money for his daughters.

“I’m gonna save the rest because I want to put my daughters in a good school, I want them to be in a good environment,” Gardner said. “Everything I’m getting is going mostly towards my daughters to make sure they have a great, great life. Make sure we won’t have to struggle anymore.”

Thanks to young Kayzen Hunter, Devonte Gardner’s life has made a U-turn. Strong work, Kayzen!

Blast from the Past – XXI

This is from March, 2021, and the situation has only gotten worse!

The Biden Non-plan

Thus far I have purposely not commented on Biden’s border crisis. I refer to it as “Biden’s border crisis” because that is exactly what it is. In the process of the carrying out his spiteful form of Trump revenge, he now owns this crisis. Instead of taking time to thoughtfully review Trump’s approach to just about anything, he (or whomever is making decisions for him) has decided to embark on his own version of “cancel culture.” One of the major problems with Biden’s border plan is that there is no apparent plan, and thus the country is left with chaos.

Has anyone asked President Biden ( or whomever is making the decisions for him) what the long term plan is? If anyone knows the answer to that question, please let me know. As best I can tell his most recent “solution” was to go On Air to plead with people across Central America and beyond NOT to come. All that tells me is that President Biden (or whomever is making the decisions for him) either is clueless about life in Central America, or has no interest in stopping the flow of migrants across our southern border. How does President Biden (or whomever is making the decisions for him) think that the people in Central America will be cognizant of “his plea?” Joe, FYI, for the most part those in Central America do not have TVs. They also do not read newspapers, as newspapers are not delivered to their shanties, and if they were, it wouldn’t matter as illiteracy is endemic.

When their neighbors leave for Los Estados Unidos and do not return, the message is something akin to . . . “They made it, so we should also go for it.” Why would they think otherwise? Unfortunately the “plan” of “pleading with those in Central America not to come” is a fool’s errand, and will accomplish nothing.

I do not like the present border situation, but the Biden’s plan (or the plan of whomever is making the decisions for him) is a nonsensical non-plan, as with it, there will be no end to the migration to Los Estados Unidos. Yesterday, I read a statement from a man from Brazil who has brought his entire family to the border. He stated that crime is rampant in Brazil and he so he headed north because Biden was now the President. Brazil!!  First Central America, and now South America. I feel for him and his family, but the solution is not to have anyone who resides south of our border head north.

Recently a self-identified liberal asked me in a group email if anyone had a better solution than Biden’s non-solution. I answered, “yes, I do.”

First of all, let’s be clear, my solution is not a total solution, as there will never be a total solution. As Christ said in Matthew 26:6-13,  “The poor you will always have with you.” Likewise from Deuteronomy 15:11, “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded . . . “

My solution is twofold:

First: Make life in Central America better for those that live there. This will involve individual charitable giving to provide food and shelter for those who are living there now.(Google “Food for the Poor” [FFP] if you are actually interested in helping.) To me, perhaps even more importantly, is to attempt to provide at least a partial remedy for the future in Central America by improving the education of the children so that they will have a chance when they grow up.

Build schools. For instance, whereas elementary  education is free for children in Honduras as long as the child has shoes, there are not nearly enough actual schools . . . schools that  have roofs and actual walls without holes, so that the children can actually learn. Donate school supplies, as obviously it is difficult if not impossible to learn without pencils, paper and books. (Again FFP if you are truly interested.)

Second: Where are the millions of U.S. churches during this crisis?  I would propose that churches, synagogues, etc. sponsor families from Central America. By “sponsor,” I mean totally provide for them now and subsequently totally provide for them  for ten years . . . food, clothing, shelter, education, etc. As best I can tell, I have never heard anyone propose that individual churches step-up. To put it politely to all of those who are in a tizzy over the chaos at the border . . . “Put your money where your mouth is.”

I am sure that there are many more practical solutions to at least partially help with Biden’s border crisis.” If anyone has a connection to Mr. Biden ( or to those who are making the decisions for him), please pass this along.

Covid, etc., Down Under – 2

As was stated in “Down Under-1, most of follows is from an article in the Journal of Clinical & Experimental Immunology  Sept, 2022, titled Covid-19 vaccines – An Australian Review.

Short term vaccine side effects:

Just to name a few short-term side effects: Death, Cardiac disorders such as Myocarditis, Blood and lymphatic system disorders, such as blood clots, thrombocytopenia, low platelet count, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, capillary leakage syndrome, Congenital and genetic disorders, Eye disorders, Immune disorders, Muscular, skeletal and connective tissue disorders, Cancerous tumours, Nervous system disorders, Pregnancy and perinatal conditions, Guillain-Barre syndrome and the list goes on. The data from NSW showed clearly that COVID injections were correlated with increases in hospitalization and ICU admissions and indicate a relation to death with COVID injections. The increase in hospitalisation, ICU admissions and deaths is very pronounced after the third injection although only 69% of the population took the booster shot versus 95% taking the initial series.

We get an insight into what is really going on in England where the government released COVID related death data (if the death certificate mentioned COVID) and all other death data sorted by vaccination status. The overall death rate for the unvaccinated was 17% while for the vaccinated it was 83%. The trend seems to be an ever increasing all causes death rate with added vaccinations without getting any protection from additional injections.

According to the VAERS database over 22,000 deaths have been associated with the COVID-19 vaccine. This is particularly alarming as according to the VAERS website adverse events including deaths are underreported by an unknown factor which could be between 10 and 100, so the actual number of deaths is likely much higher and could be over a million.

From large insurance companies in the US we know that the all- cause death rates are up 40% in ages 18-64 years and there are 100,000 excess deaths per month in the US across all age groups, which cannot be attributed to COVID-19 alone. However, caution has to be taken in interpreting these data as deaths due to suicides and delayed hospital treatment are not taken into consideration. Nevertheless, the trend seems to be the same and should raise alarm.

COVID-19 vaccines cause more side effects than any other vaccine, a fact that is attributed to its interactions with the immune system. Not only does spike protein produces unwanted side effects, but mRNA and nanoparticles do as well.

Long term side effects:

Long-term risks of vaccination as predicted by scientists, many already validated by scientists and doctors:

Vaccine-induced autoimmunity, pathogenic priming, multisystem inflammatory disease and autoimmunity, antibody dependent enhancement (ADE), activation of latent viral infections, and prion disease, increased thrombosis, cardiomyopathy and other vascular events following vaccination, babies suffering enduring adverse consequences, mRNA reverse transcribing intracellularly into the DNA and death due to autoimmune disease long after vaccination [78-84].

Whistleblowers:

At a parliament enquiry by US senator Ron Johnson, lawyer Thomas Renz presented three US military doctors, Drs. Samuel Sigoloff, Peter Chambers, and Theresa Long, whose declarations he planned to use in federal court under penalty of perjury. These doctors revealed a 300% increase in miscarriages in the military above the five-year average in 2021 with the five-year average being 1,499 miscarriages per year while in the first 10 months of 2021 the registered miscarriages were 4,182. Other diseases went up in a similar fashion such as an almost 300% increase in cancer diagnoses (from a five-year average of 38,700 per year to 114,645 in the first 11 months of 2021). Neurological issues increased by 1000% from a baseline average of 82,000 to 863,000 in 2021.

Some other increased conditions were:

269% increase of myocardial infarction

• 291% increase of Bell’s palsy

• 156% increase of children’s congenital malformations of military personnel

• 471% increase of female infertility

• 467% increase of pulmonary embolisms

Conclusion:

Never in Vaccine history have 57 leading scientists and policy experts released a report questioning the safety and efficacy of a vaccine. They not only questioned the safety of the current Covid-19 injections, but were calling for an immediate end to all vaccination. Many doctors and scientists around the world have voiced similar misgivings and warned of consequences due to long-term side effects. Yet there is no discussion or even mention of studies that do not follow the narrative on safety and efficacy of Covid-19 vaccination.

In the USA, as Blaylock states it very nicely, federal bureaucrats have forced the acceptance of special forms of care and prevention, which includes experimental mRNA vaccines. Medical experts that have questioned the safety of these vaccines have been attacked and demonised, called conspiracy theorists and have been threatened to be de-registered if they go against the narrative. Alternative treatments were prohibited and people who never practised medicine are telling experienced doctors how to do their job. AHPRA is doing the same here in Australia to the detriment and in ignorance of science. When Adjunct Professor John Skerritt, who is currently the Deputy Secretary and directly responsibility for both the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Office of Drug Control, was asked why the registration process for vaccines was shortened he wrote: “It is nonsense to assert that vaccines typically take 10 years to licence. The standard regulatory process for vaccines is about 10-12 calendar months and in the case of COVID-19 vaccines this period was shortened by accepting data on a rolling basis, teams reviewing different parts of the dossier in parallel, working collaboratively with international regulators, and by many members of the teams working long hours” (personal e-mail communication). One has to wonder how they propose to assess long-term side effects. Can we really trust any pharmaceutical drug approval by the TGA after this statement?

As scientists we put up hypotheses and test them using experiments. If a hypothesis is proven to be true according to current knowledge it might still change over time when new evidence comes to light. Hence, sharing and accumulating knowledge is the most important part of science. The question arises when and why this process of science has been changed. No discussion of new knowledge disputing the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines is allowed. Who gave bureaucrats the means to destroy the fundaments of science and tell scientists not to argue the science?

3/11/23

Covid, etc., Down Under -1

Those who live in Australia were fed the same lines as those in the U.S.

Most of follows is from an article in the Journal of Clinical &  Experimental Immunology  Sept, 2022, titled Covid-19 vaccines – An Australian Review.

Initial information:

The mRNA vaccines were supposed to remain at the injection site and be taken up by the lymphatic system. This assumption proved to be wrong.

During an autopsy of a vaccinated person that had died after mRNA vaccination it was found that the vaccine disperses rapidly from the injection site and can be found in nearly all parts of the body. The mRNA is enveloped in liquid nano particles (LNP), and these nanoparticles can cross the blood-brain barrier and the blood-placenta barrier. In summary, it is unknown where exactly the vaccine travels once it is injected, and how much spike protein is produced in which (and how many) cells.

Natural Immunity ignored:

It is an amazing fact that natural immunity is completely disregarded by health authorities around the world. We know from SARS- CoV-1 that natural immunity is durable and persists for at least 12-17 years. Immunologists have suggested that immunity to SARS-Cov-2 is no different.

The Brownstone institute has established the most updated and comprehensive library list of 150 of the highest-quality, complete, and robust scientific studies and evidence reports/position statements on natural immunity as compared to the COVID-19 vaccine-induced immunity. The consensus of these studies is that immunity induced by COVID infection is robust and long lasting (https://brownstone.org/articles/79-research-studies-affirm- naturally-acquired-immunity-to-covid-19-documented-linked- and-quoted/).

There have been discussions about risk and value of vaccination in the previously infected part of the population. Study results have shown that the second dose in people already exposed to the virus leads to a reduction of cellular immunity, inferring those individuals previously infected with COVID-19 should not get a second injection.

All of these facts should have led to the standard operating procedure of establishing antibody titres in patients before vaccination for SARS CoV-2, similar to other vaccinations. However, this did not happen and natural immunity is still not accepted as proof of immunity in Australia.

Protection:

The vaccine was never meant to prevent the spread of the virus, but to decrease disease severity. A study at the University of California followed up on infections in the workforce after 76% had been fully vaccinated with mRNA vaccines by March 2021 and 86.7% by July 2021. In July 2021 75.2% of the fully vaccinated workforce had symptomatic COVID.

Acharya et al. (2021) and Riemersma et al. (2021) both showed that the vaccinated have very high viral loads similar to the unvaccinated and are therefore as infectious. Brown et al. (2021) and Servelitta et al (2021) suggested that vaccinated people with symptomatic infection by variants, such as Delta, are as infectious as symptomatic unvaccinated cases and will contribute to the spread of COVID even in highly vaccinated communities.

Treatment:

It is truly disturbing that treatments recommended by some doctors in America have not been tried in Australia. These treatments are mainly based on vitamins, zinc and zinc ionophores, such as ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine. A reduction of mortality strongly depends on an early start of these treatment modalities

Scientific papers support the use of ivermectin according to Bryant et al. (2021). They found moderate to strong evidence that ivermectin can reduce COVID-19 deaths while being safe and inexpensive. The same was found for hydroxychloroquine in a review by McCullough et al. (2021), which also stated that a reduction of mortality strongly depends on an early start of the treatment. Hydroxychloroquine has been registered in the US since 1955 and has a well-characterized safety profile.

Yet here in Australia the recommendation is to isolate and monitor yourself. Only if you have difficulty breathing, experience loss of speech or mobility, confusion or chest pain should you contact the health care provider.

Common Sense

The war in Ukraine continues with no end in sight. In fact, with the winter weather easing, look for an increase in Russia’s aggressiveness. At some point will someone pointedly ask about the end game … in other words, what will it take to end this war in Ukraine?

Last week V.P. Kamala Harris said that Putin will be punished as a war-criminal, and this week our Attorney General, Merrick Garland, took a secret trip to Ukraine and repeated the same … “Putin is a war criminal, and will be punished.” Does this sound like a good common sense approach to end this conflict? Is stating that your adversary is going to be severely punished increase or decrease the chance for a peaceful settlement? … Duh! Between you and I, is Putin a war-criminal? Yes, he is. However, announcing your intent to severely punish Putin when the conflict ends will only prolong the conflict, and this is common sense. Because Biden et.al. use little common sense, I see no way that this Russia-Ukraine war can possibly end, as long as J.B remains in the Oval Office.

However, there is another common sense reason that this war cannot possibly end as long as Biden remains at the helm. Russia, with a GNP similar to Italy, is financing this war by selling oil and gas. The brilliant move by Biden, et.al. to drastically decrease oil/gas production by the U.S, only serves to keep the world market price for gas/oil high. This is because of the basic economic principle of supply/demand. In other words, as any high school economic student understands, limiting the supply of something only serves to increase the price of that thing. Thus by limiting U.S. production (decreased world supply) Russia can maintain its high oil price as world demand remains high, and thus Russia can continue to comfortably finance its aggression in Ukraine.

Recently Donald Trump gave a good speech last week at CPAC. One of the things he said was that after he was elected, he would quickly end the war in Ukraine. He didn’t mention how he was going to accomplish this, however I can safely say that it wouldn’t be by calling for the punishment of Putin as a war-criminal. From my perspective the only way to end this war, is by immediately increasing the production of oil/gas by the U.S. This, my friends, is common sense, and this is what Trump will do on his first day in office. Amen to that!

Global Cooling ?

In January, 2019, then freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) claimed the world “is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

To me, it’s always interesting when the vernacular changes. “Global warming” has become “climate change” … will it next become “global cooling?” You laugh! However, in a published 2019 Nature Geoscience article it was pointed out that the waters in the Disko Bay region of Greenland have cooled to temperatures not seen in more than 30 years.

The water in Disko Bay is about 3.6 degrees cooler than a few years ago, study authors said. The result of this cooling is that the Jakobshavn Glacier is growing.

From BlazeNews:

“For the last 20 years, the Jakobshavn Glacier in Greenland was one of the fastest shrinking ice sheets in the world, losing on average 1.8 miles of ice annually while thinning 130 feet per year, according to The Associated Press.

But in 2016 something changed: The glacier began growing again, at about the same rate it was previously retreating, researchers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said.

‘At first we didn’t believe it. We had pretty much assumed that Jakobshavn would just keep going on as it had over the last 20 years,’ Ala Khazendar, the study’s lead author, said, according to USA Today.”

More from the AP:

“A natural cyclical cooling of North Atlantic waters likely caused the glacier to reverse course, said study lead author Ala Khazendar, a NASA glaciologist on the Oceans Melting Greenland (OMG) project. Khazendar and colleagues say this coincides with a flip of the North Atlantic Oscillation — a natural and temporary cooling and warming of parts of the ocean that is like a distant cousin to El Nino in the Pacific.”

Perhaps AOC isn’t aware that the ocean around Greenland is actually cooling, but when she learns this news will “climate change” become “global cooling?”

Leadership ?

Is anybody else, beside me, troubled by the actions of President Joe Biden in reference to East Palestine, Ohio … err, I mean the non-actions of our supposed leader.

Keep in mind that this toxic railroad accident occurred in early February. President Biden said on 3/2/23 that he will visit East Palestine, Ohio, “at some point” … this in the wake of a train derailment that spilled toxic chemicals into the community.

Contrast Biden’s lackadaisical response to: “You are not forgotten,” said by former President Donald Trump when he visited East Palestine, Ohio on 3/22/23, and brought water and other supplies to the folks living there. Residents of East Palestine seemed to be very appreciative of Trump’s visit, especially in view of the fact that Biden has not gone to visit the devastated town.

Now I ask, which response shows true leadership …

  • “you are not forgotten”

or

  • I will probably visit there ‘at some point’

Not surprisingly, the people of East Palestine are frightened and worried about what their future holds. Obviously neither Joe Biden or Donald Trump know what the future holds for these East Palestine families, but who showed up to offer support and encouragement?

Hint … not the non-leader who will most likely spend this weekend at his Delaware beach house.
