Who, What, Where … White House

President Biden’s White House is a very secure place. By necessity the White House is a very secure place. There is a list of who comes and goes. Not just anybody can enter the White House, and certainly, not just anybody has access to the inner rooms of the White House.

On 7/5/23 buried on page two of my local “newspaper” was a story initially from the Washington Post entitled “Suspected Cocaine Found in White House.”

And yes, at this point it appears that the white powder found in the White House is no longer “suspected” cocaine … it was cocaine.

Compare what the Washington Post reported and the following from the UK’s Daily Mail:

“White House cocaine was found in a ‘dime-sized baggie’ inside a ‘cubby’ used by staff and guests to store cell phones: New details emerge in drug mystery as Secret Service continues investigation.

It’s still not clear how cocaine made its way into the White House, but new reporting indicates it was found in a dime-sized bag in a storage facility regularly used by staff and guests.

U.S. Secret Service declined to comment on the ongoing investigation to DailyMail.com on Wednesday, but doubled-down that the white powder substance was found in a ‘work area within the West Wing’ of the White House.

It appears the federal law enforcement agency is still on the hunt for who brought the cocaine into the White House.”

So at this point we know the ‘what.’ It was cocaine.

Where exactly was this cocaine found? … sounds like it was in the inner bowels of the White House!

“Who” brought it there? … I have my suspicions!

There are a few issues here.

First: How is it that the UK’s Daily Mail has more info than the newspaper that is based in the same city as the White House? Does anyone else think that the Washington Post is trying to slow roll this story?

Second: As I noted above, there can only be a limited number of individuals with access to the inner rooms of the White House. In other words because this cocaine didn’t just walk in by itself, it shouldn’t take long to figure out who brought it into the White House. Certainly the Secret Service can test the dime-sized bag for fingerprints!

Third: A spokesperson for the Secret Service said that the white powder, which since has been found to be cocaine, was found during routine rounds in the building.

Will the person who found the cocaine and thus caused the big hubbub with the White House being evacuated etc. remain unidentified, or if identified, will he/she disappear or commit suicide?

Hmmm!

Dumb Dem ?

Right from the beginning, let me be clear. Kids are under the auspices of their parents … not under the auspices of the government, whether that be state or federal governments.

From N.J News:

On Thursday, 6/29/23, New Jersey State Attorney General Matthew Platkin filed civil rights complaints challenging parental notification policies that three New Jersey school boards adopted this week regarding transgender and nonbinary students, his office announced.

The move comes after the Middletown Township, Marlboro Township and Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Boards of Education on Tuesday, 6/27/23, adopted or amended school policies requiring staff to notify parents when gender-nonconforming students wish to change their names, be called by new pronouns, or request other accommodations.

Who is this Matthew Platkin?

A little background from Wikipedia:

He is 36 years old, and was born and raised in New Jersey. He then attended Stanford undergrad as well as Stanford Law.

On February 3, 2022, Governor Phil Murphy announced that he was appointing Platkin to serve as Acting Attorney General. Platkin assumed office on February 14, 2022, succeeding Andrew Bruck as Acting Attorney General. He assumed the position in full on September 29, 2022, after the confirmation of his appointment by the New Jersey State Senate.

Platkin served as Chief Counsel to Governor Murphy from January 2018 to October 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he drafted executive orders and workforce policies for state government employees.[4] He took a leave during January 2020 to serve as Senator Cory Booker‘s special counsel during the first impeachment of Donald Trump.

So let’s get this straight, Matthew Platkin appears to be a very young, inexperienced Democrat who was appointed, not elected, to his Attorney General position. Serving as a special counsel to Cory Booker during Trump’s first impeachment only serves to document that he might be what friends of mine call “a liberal whack-job.”

Platkin’s complaint seems reminiscent of George Orwell’s 1984 in which good was evil and evil was good!

Don’t you just wonder how long this AG in New Jersey has been in hibernation? Is he not cognizant of what happened recently in Virginia when the governor decided to go head to head with the parents of school children.

From my perspective, go for it, Matthew Platkin!

“Something Is Going On”

Democratic presidential candidate, RFK Jr., has been and still is, anti-covid vaccine for a variety of reasons. Suffice it to say, although not an anti-vaxer, per se, he is suspicious that “something” is going on, because of what he is seeing with children these days. He points out that when he was growing up, he did not know anybody with autism, and these days there are a multitude of children with autism … “something” is going on. He points out that four of his seven children have asthma, and likewise, a large percentage of black children also have asthma … “something” is going on.

Yesterday I read something that reminded me of what RFK Jr. has been saying, namely that “something” is going on.

From the Epoch Health section of The Epoch Times:

“Food items consumed by babies continue to have the presence of high levels of heavy metals, thus posing a risk to their development, a new study has found.

Nonprofit Consumer Reports (CR) tested 14 products eaten by babies, ranging from fruits and vegetables, meals, snacks, bars, and puffs, according to the June 27 report. This was a follow-up of CR’s 2018 study that tested 50 foods. Long-term intake of heavy metals can affect the development of children, including causing lower IQ, behavioral issues, and autism. Heavy metals include elements like lead, cadmium, and arsenic. At least three samples of each product were tested by CR. The items selected for testing were ones for which there were “concerning levels” of heavy metals in Consumer Reports’ previous test.

The study found that the overall risk of heavy metal contamination “hasn’t changed much in the last five years,” even as levels of arsenic, lead, and cadmium in baby foods appeared to be getting lower.”

Still from Epoch Health:

“Other studies have also shown that many baby foods have heavy metal contamination. An August 2022 report (pdf) by Healthy Babies Bright Futures (HBBF) that tested 288 foods found that 94 percent of the tested food samples contained “detectable amounts” of toxic heavy metals.

“We found no evidence to suggest that homemade baby food has lower heavy metal levels than store-bought brands. Heavy metal levels varied widely by food type, not by who made the food,” it said.”

Now, let’s be clear, I am not saying that the apparent increase in autism or the increase in childhood asthma is due to what young children are eating, but rather that “something” is going on.

Travis Brady/Boyd Jordan

Today as is my usual Sunday fare, I praise a true hero. However, today …two heroes, Boyd Jordan and Travis Brady of Panama City, Florida.

From Good News Network:

“It started last Friday of last week when Travis Brady and his friends left the Panama City marina on the opening day of red snapper season with storm clouds coming fast behind them. Loathe to miss the chance for a big catch, they nevertheless decided to call it a day early when the water became smattered with 5-6 foot waves.”

(For those of you who have never lived in gulf coast Florida red snapper is the crème de la crème of local fish, especially when it is eaten fresh.)

On the way back to the marina, they saw a houseboat—a floating general store that served watermen near a sandbar, had broken free from its moorings. As Brady and his friends approached they saw another boat had already arrived, and its owner was attempting to rescue three people trapped in the houseboat.

That rescuer, later identified as Boyd Jordan, jumped in the water, smashed the window, and helped all three people out after the houseboat capsized.

“He is the true hero of this story,” Brady told WJHG. “Without hesitation, he was just in the water helping those people.”

That’s when Brady and his friends arrived dodging debris and waves to throw a life jacket to Jordan with a line attached to it; the houseboat’s occupants were already wearing life jackets.

Hauling Jordan aboard their already overcrowded fishing boat, they then guided the stranded individuals to the sandbar where they were able to walk ashore. Brady then took Jordan to his own boat before it crashed into the seawall.

Boyd Jordan heroically saved the lives of the three in the collapsed houseboat, and  Travis Brady then proceeded to save the life of Boyd Jordan … a double set of heroes from Panama City!

Headlines About a Headline!

Headline from 6/30/23:

“Supreme Court Rules That Affirmative Action In College Admissions Is Unconstitutional”

This story about AA was big news as it even made it to the front page of my local “newspaper.”

In an opinion written by Chief Justice Roberts, the Supreme Court completely overturned its previous decision in Grutter v. Bollinger and struck down affirmative action in colleges and universities. In the 6-3 decision, the Court held that ‘affirmative action’ is unconstitutional because it violates the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment.

The Court, noting that race-based admissions at Harvard led to a greater than -11% decline in the number of Asian American students admitted, explained that general invocations of fuzzy buzzwords like “increasing diversity” are no longer enough to carry the day:

Many who study the Constitution were not surprised by this ruling. However what was surprising to me, and I dare say was not surprising to many, were some of the responses to this ruling.

From C&C:

Responding to the Court’s decision, former Biden staffer Erica Marsh, pictured below, angrily tweeted a very unfortunate hot take, which will go down in the history of dumbest things ever said by democrats:

https3A2F2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com2Fpublic2Fimages2F7dbaf7ec-7dd5-4a22-96c8-149fa50e5ac8_1240x1540.jpeg

Let’s be clear what this airhead said:

“no Black person will be able to succeed in a merit based system …”

Indeed this is one of the most racist statements that I have ever heard!

However, according to her Twitter account she is a “proud Democrat”living in the D.C.area. Likewise on Twitter she apologized and. said that her statement “didn’t effectively convey her intended message.”

(At the time of writing this article, the tweet had amassed over 13 million views and over 7000 likes. Many believe that the account is not real. Twitter user @leahmcelrath claimed that the avatar used in the account was “AI generated.”

In other words when a Democrat says something really dumb, figure out a way to blame Republicans!)

Similarly, Congresswoman AOC has called for Supreme COurt Justice, Clarence Thomas, to RESIGN.

MSNBC was close to apoplexy. On MSNBC, Catherine Christian essentially stated that blacks are not smart enough to succeed without AA helping them into careers.

And these headlines about the Affirmative Action headline just go on and on!

Dying a Slow Death

At what point do we stop calling supposed medical journals, actual medical journals? A friend of mine recently cancelled his subscription to the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). For those of you unawares, the NEJM had been the premiere medical journal in the U.S. for at least fifty years, and my friend had been reading the NEJM regularly for many, many years. When I asked him, Why? … he responded, “too woke!” He further explained that wasn’t the medical studies, per se, but rather the editorials and the letters to the editor that the NEJM chose to publish, which he politely termed, “rubbish!”

I know three others who are retired from medical practice, but continue to work part time teaching at the local medical school. One of them summed it up succinctly when he said, “if you’re under forty, in ten years do not get sick! “Why?” I asked. … Because you will end up with this new breed of physician taking care of you, and unless something dramatically changes, they do not know much!”

Luckily, I am no longer under forty!

Finally the topper from Townhall:

“The Lancet was once a leading British medical journal. It was sober and medically exacting. It was so respected that it was often cited to settle controversial issues in the field of medicine.

Today, it is a shell of its former self, shot through with leftist political ideology. A recent editorial called out the UK Home Secretary for her “appalling and shocking“ comments.

Was it about a drop in research funding or disputed medical opinions or something else of direct relevance to medicine? No, the Secretary opined that new migrants to the UK possessed “values which are at odds with our country“ and brought “heightened levels of criminality“.

Until I read this, I did not realize that the Lancet, a once renowned British medical journal, had  gone the way of the once renowned NEJM. Of course, in ten years it might not matter much as medicine, as we know it, is dying a slow death. In fact, in ten years, the present medical students, soon to be doctors, will probably not be able to understand any actual medical articles anyway.

“Oh Canada …”

The other morning I read an interesting story on Coffee & Covid concerning something that is happening in the Canadian military.

“Over 300 [Canadian Armed Forces] Members Launch $500 Million Lawsuit Against Military for COVID Vaccine Mandates.”

More signs of life in Canada! On June 21st, 330 active or former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) who allege they were harmed by jab mandates have filed a class-action lawsuit against high-ranking members of the Canadian military, seeking $500 million in damages.

Alberta-based lawyer Catherine Christensen of Valour Law, which specializes in military law, filed the class-action lawsuit on behalf of the CAF members. She said the lawsuit amounts to approximately $1,000,000 for each of the plaintiffs, plus “extensive other damages; Essentially, a lawsuit for about $500,000,000.”

FYI:

To add fuel to these simmering embers, a Canadian independent military tribunal found that the military mandate violated the charter rights of service members who refused the jabs.

The tribunal’s findings are advisory in nature and non-binding, but are considered persuasive.

Although, I cannot fathom a $500,000,000 judgement going against the CAF, and its high ranking members, this will be interesting to watch

Brace Yourself For Another Kennedy Gem

On 6 23/23 I watched Sen. John Kennedy (R,La) speaking on the floor of the Senate about pistol braces. The issue was concerning whether Joe Biden’s ATF had the authority to turn pistols using pistol braces into short barreled rifles.

Now let’s be clear. I do not own a gun … yet! Prior to listening to Senator Kennedy’s speech, I did not know what a pistol brace was or what it looked like. I watched this Kennedy speech because I love to watch Sen. John Kennedy speak, and believe me, I was not disappointed as his speech was not only very informative, but also quite humorous in parts.

As background, historically pistol braces were invented to assist individuals who only have the use of one arm (handicapped individuals) to be able to use a pistol. So instead of saying that “one-armed” individuals could not own guns as that would be unconstitutional, Biden’s ATF instead banned pistol braces. As Sen Kennedy emphasized banning pistol braces is just a devious way of banning the possession of guns by certain individuals.

Basically Biden’s ATF said that pistol braces turn pistols into short barreled rifles, and Sen Kennedy was speaking in the Senate because there was going to be a vote to overturn Biden’s ATF’s ban on pistol braces.

The reason that this ATF change in vernacular is important was that short barreled rifles are outlawed, and so bingo-bango-bongo now pistol braces are illegal because magically they turn a pistol into a short barreled rifle.

Some further background:

In 2012, the Obama-Biden administration’s ATF determined that pistol-brace attachments do not change the classification of a pistol to that of a rifle. Despite this, the Biden administration in 2021 directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to propose a rule that clarifies when a pistol with a brace attachment should be designated as a rifle.

If you want to be informed on pistol braces while enjoying yourself, I would strongly suggest watching this YouTube video.

(One classic Kennedy line from this speech … “Under President Biden Americans are a lot poorer, but not necessarily a lot stupider!”)

BTW: The Senate subsequently did take a vote as to whether or not to overturn the ATF’s ban on pistol braces. The overturning of this ban was defeated 50-49 with all of the Democratic Senators voting basically to prevent one armed veterans from owning and using a pistol!

Finally !

Finally a chink in the armor of the “green energy or nothing” enthusiasts. This latest bit of sanity comes out of Sweden. Those of us with a little knowledge of world geography know that Sweden lies pretty far north. In general, the further north one goes the colder it gets, and the less the sun shines. Therefore,  it stands to reason that it is less likely that solar power will suffice as a source of energy, as one goes further north. In addition wind power is unreliable, unless the wind turbines are placed in certain spots where the wind is known to blow either steadily or at least quite often. In addition, the further north one goes, the colder it gets in the winter, and the longer the winter lasts, and thus more energy is needed to heat homes and businesses.

This rational kind of thinking is what caused Sweden to change its stance on nuclear power.

From Red State, 6/25/23:

“Sweden Shocks Europe: Abandons ‘Unstable’ Green Energy Agenda, Returns to Nuclear Power”

Sweden just dealt a severe blow to the globalist climate agenda by scraping its green energy targets. In a statement announcing the new policy in the Swedish Parliament, Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson warned that the Scandinavian nation needs “a stable energy system.”

Svantesson said wind and solar power are too “unstable” to meet the nation’s energy requirements. Instead, she said, the Swedish government is shifting back to nuclear power and has scrapped its goal of a “100 percent renewable energy” supply to meet the nation’s energy requirement,

Finally, a chink in the armor of the Green Energy Agenda. How long before Sweden’s neighboring countries come to their senses, and realize the wisdom of what Sweden is doing? And then how long before the Northern European countries admit that going totally green is a fool’s errand.

Similarly, at some point those that live in the northern part of the U.S.A will be forced to admit that going green will just not work for them, especially during their long cold winters. If one lives south of the Mason-Dixon Line, then perhaps the story will be somewhat different, but we’ll see.

Sweden showed wisdom and foresight with its approach to Covid, and I predict that its rational approach and its foresight when it comes to energy will be the standard of the future.

Red Rover, Red Rover Let “Grover” Come Over!

In the history of the U.S there has been only one president who served two non-consecutive terms, and that was in the late 1800s. Who was that?

As part of the educational aspect of my blog that was Grover Cleveland. From Wikipedia:

Stephen Grover Cleveland (March 18, 1837 – June 24, 1908) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 22nd and 24th president of the United States from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897. In the years before his presidency, he served as a mayor and governor in New York state, winning fame as an anti-corruption crusader. Cleveland is the only president in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive presidential terms. He won the popular vote in three presidential elections—18841888, and 1892Benjamin Harrison won the electoral college vote, and thus the presidency, in 1888.

Could Donald Trump be only the second President to serve two non- consecutive terms? If there have been other U.S. presidents who ran a third time after losing in their quest for a second consecutive term, I confess … I just don’t know. When you think about it, there are really only a few reasons why someone would run a third time after losing the second time around.

Back in 1888, Grover Cleveland won the popular vote, and so he possibly felt that he had a reasonable shot at being elected in 1892.

He was right, as he did get elected in 1892.

To me there are two other possible reasons why someone would run for President after losing in the interim.

First: the interim election was fraudulent! To me the 2020 Presidential election was indeed fraudulent. The recent uncovering of the fraudulent nursing home votes in Wisconsin and the info showing that the so-called “impenetrable” voting machines are actually susceptible to potential hacking, are only the first two chinks in that armor.

Second: The President who was “elected” in the interim election has been terrible, and we’ve got that in spades!

Therefore, because of past election fraud and present Presidential incompetence, I am predicting that DJT will be a second Grover Cleveland.
