What’s Above Their Shoulders ?

I suppose I could have answered the question posed in the title by merely saying, “Not much!” If I did that this would have been a very short blog. In my writing classes I have always been told to cut out the unnecessary words and the run-on sentences. “Get to the point. Do not string the reader along unnecessarily. Etc.”

However, what fun is that?

Here I am talking about liberals and their thought (or perhaps I should say, “non-thought”) processes. As I have emphasized frequently in the past, I feel that the brains of liberals are controlled by the midbrain (emotion) as opposed to the frontal lobe (logical thought processes).

Take for example something that just happened in L.A. where the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) announced new COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants now that the outdoor dining ban has been lifted. The Public Health Department is banning restaurants from having TVs on for their customers to watch programming while they are eating.

“Televisions or any other screens that are used to broadcast programming must be removed from the area or turned off. This provision is effective until further notice,” the order states.

Why make such an order, one might ask?

Think about it for a second … it’s all about the Super Bowl which is scheduled for Sunday, February 7.

From Townhall:

“As Fox 11 reporter Bill Melugin notes, the order will backfire as it will only increase indoor private gatherings who want to watch the big game.”

And here is where that thing that sits above the shoulders is not being used by LACDPH. To me it appears obvious that those who made this decision are either not football fans or do not make logical decisions very often … very possibly both.

If I want to have a few brewskis while watching the Super Bowl with friends, for sure I am going to do just that. If perchance it is raining, I may not go to that outdoor brewery, but I am still going to have a few beers and watch the game with friends . . . somewhere inside. The same logical conclusion can be arrived at if my local brewery is not allowed to show the Super Bowl live, because some liberal ding-a-lings at LACDPH say “no outdoor televisions in bars or restaurants.”

Now days just about everyone knows that indoor groups are much more likely to transmit the virus compared to the same groups gathered outdoors … apparently everyone except LACDPH.

One wonders if the  LACDPH ever uses that thing that sits above their shoulders?
