Rogan 2

Last night I stayed up way past my bedtime and watched “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Different from when Donald Trump was on that same show, I watched the entire thing, which I am guessing was close to three hours. The guest on this show was not Kamala Harris or Tim Walz, but rather J.D. Vance.
For those of you not very familiar with Trump’s running mate, my suggestion is for you to either to read Vance’s basic autobiography, ‘Hillbilly Elegy,’ or to watch Vance speak about a wide variety of subjects on The Joe Rogan Experience on You-Tube.
Admittedly this is only the second time I have watched Rogan’s podcast show, the first being when Donald Trump appeared on that same show about a week or so ago. I think that Vance did well with knowledge on a wide variety of topics. One of the beauties of Rogan’s podcast format is that it allows for open discussion on just about anything.
Rogan and Vance did not agree on everything, and on some topics, e.g. newer PTSD treatments, Rogan knew quite a lot whereas Vance admittedly knew nothing. Keep in mind … no notes, no scheduled questions … a true free-format.
Be that as it may, even though J.D.Vance did quite well, Donald Trump did better. However, what I came away with after three hours or so of watching is that Vance is more than capable of stepping into President Trump’s shoes if something unforeseen were to happen.
Remember:
Neither Harris or Walz appeared on Rogan’s podcast. Harris fell back on the hackneyed “scheduling conflict” trope, and Walz was invisible. Could either of them have appeared with Rogan? … should either of them have appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience.? Only time will tell.
